Health supplements for a ketogenic diet

Ketogenic diet is a very high fat diet that is meant for inducing a state of ketosis in the body. This is a high on fat and low on carbohydrates diet. The diet usually provides for about 3-4 grams of fat for each 1gm of protein and carbohydrate together. This is commonly used during the treatment of epilepsy. Such a diet normally comprises of approximately 88% of fat, 2% of carbohydrates energy and 10% of protein. This is highly supplemented with Vitamin D, calcium, folic acid and Iron.
